- US, new rules to ease the embargo against Cuba
The White House is developing a comprehensive regulation, in order to facilitate further trade embargo against Cuba, a move that would ease restrictions on US companies and would make it easier for US citizens to travel to the island, to some time ago hostile to America.
The news was announced on Thursday that US government officials, but the new regulation is expected to be announced precisely during the remaining hours of this premteje. US companies will be allowed to freeze their offices in Cuba, for the first time more than half a century, according to a draft of the new rules taught by "Reuters".
The regulation will make it easier for airlines and commercial ships to import parts or technology to improve security in Cuba; will lift restrictions on exports of computer software; and will allow companies authorized to create subsidiaries with Cuba, mainly through "joint ventures" with Cuban firms, such as that of telecommunications "Etecsa", state and monopoly situation in the country.
However, the regulation does not authorize private companies to trade financing, or does not change the current rules that determine who can travel to Cuba. But these rules can be modified and improved in the near future by different agencies.
For all these reports there were no comments from the administration of President Barack Obama.
