Michael Douglas' mother Diana Douglas Webster has died at the age of 92.
The actress, first wife of Kirk Douglas, passed away on Saturday in a care home for Hollywood stars in California following a battle with cancer.
Her career included starring roles in Dynasty and The West Wing.
She is survived by her two sons with Kirk, Hollywood movie star Michael, 70, and 68-year-old producer Joel, and her husband of 15 years Donald Webster.
Born Diana Love Dill on January 22, 1923 in Devonshire, Bermuda, she studied acting with husband-to-be Kirk before the Second World War, and they wed in 1943.
The couple continued to act alongside one another following their split in 1951.
In 2003, Diana and Kirk played a married couple in the movie It Runs In the Family. Michael Douglas played their son and Cameron Douglas - Michael's son with Diandra Douglas - as their grandson. Joel and Michael produced the movie.
