Best foot forward! Lewis Hamilton dons neon green trainers as he steps out in Los Angeles... after being romantically linked with model Kendall Jenner
Lewis Hamilton was hard to miss as he arrived at the Gumball 3000 in Los Angeles on Friday.
The Formula 1 racer drew attention to his feet as he turned up to the event in a striking pair of neon green trainers as he prepared to drive from Los Angeles to Death Valley Nevada as part of the annual international motor rally.
The 30-year-old cut a stylish figure as he teamed a black patterned top with ripped jeans and a beige jacket.
His appearance comes after his recent outings with model Kendall Jenner over the past month.
The pair were first linked to each other following Cannes Film Festival as the 19-year-old reality star and her model pals spent time with Lewis on a luxury yacht.
Speaking to The Sun's Tom Thorogood, an insider said: 'She really wants Kendall to date him. Lewis and Kris have become friendly in recent months and she thinks he's perfect for her daughter.
'Kendall usually goes for bad boys like Chris Brown and Justin Bieber so Lewis could be a good influence on her.'
A source close to the sportsman, who was sunbathing and jet-skiing with Kendall and her pals, including Gigi Hadid and Hailey, on his yacht in Monaco, claims he fell for her at the Cannes Film Festival and thinks she is 'really cute and smart.'
The insider told UsMagazine.com: 'He's single and ready to date seriously again.'
Another source said: 'Kendall definitely has a major flirtation going on with Lewis and seems into him. They were very flirty all day long. Lewis was spraying water on Kendall with the back of his jet ski and she was loving the attention. They were both laughing and having a great time.'
A friend believes their romance could just be a fling because neither of them are 'looking for a relationship' but 'it could develop into something more.'
Lewis is an eligible bachelor after splitting from long-term love Nicole Scherzinger.
The couple broke up in February after being together on/off for seven years, and the former X Factor judge is using the break-up to better herself.
Talking about the reasons for going their separate ways, Nicole hinted that she and Lewis had become 'complacent'.
She explained: 'Sometimes people stay in relationships because they get complacent, because it's comfortable for them, because they don't want to be alone.
'It's a new chapter in my life. I'm going through a very transformative time in my life.'
She adds to people that she is now focusing on finding the real meaning to her life - but suggests that the door is always open for a reconciliation
In the interview with People.com, she added: 'For me, what's helped me to get through this is I'm a quite spiritual person.
'It's grounded me, and I realize that I do have a great purpose in life. If relationships or people in your lives are meant to be, then they will come back around, but that shouldn't be what's holding you back.
'A lot of the time when you're in a relationship, you lose yourself and you lose who you are and what makes you special. You're always putting all your energy on someone else, so find yourself again. Build yourself back up [and] be that big, radiant light.'
